I bought today plastic pouches. I storage in boxe. In put a non-slip in background. But it doesn't work. It's problematic. All pouches slip each other. Effectively, I must put inside pouches a piece of board for rigidity. Contrary to you, i put my pouches verticaly and not horizontaly. Sewing pouches in fabric it's complicated too. It's not a good solution. It's complicated to find the good solution because we want place, we want practical, we want easy to find flosstube. 🤔
I’ve never seen that Jim Shore chart before.

What a wonderful May-nia you had!!! So many beautiful projects! You have so many unique patterns, thank you for sharing them with us! 🥰
Hi Brenda! I always enjoy seeing your Maynis plans and follow up videos! Lots of old favorites and a few new ones too!
Great to see you back! I am binging watching your last few videos and enjoying your hail in Australia's winter lol. I love your project wall, and your project progress. Especially loving how Pandemic is taking shape. Are you backstitching all the motifs or only where backstitching is charted? Ooh, i just ordered the Matter in Hand project from 123 stitch. Hopefully I get it in time to work on it! I wanted to make a project mat out of it for work/vacation stitching... and if the 2026 retreat in Australia is not during exam/interview season then maybe that.
Love all the projects and hearing the rain. Your choices of colours is always so great.❤ oh wow! All the parked threads on your 4 seasons! I park but never had that many!😅 oh that hilltop village is cute. Oh and you don’t like repetition, how kind of her!❤
Hooray for retirement! Your stitching is always inspiring. Do you have a suggestion for a tutorial/or flosstube that addresses the "parking" of threads, like you have done on your May 6th "Stitching Shelf" piece? Would love to learn tips on successfully executing full coverage pieces like this. Thanks so much!
Congratulations on your retirement! Love your maynia videos every yr!
I loved seeing all, your wips. I am so glad you had a good time at srirch con.
Happy retirement! I’m so happy for you and just a wee bit jealous. (I’m still a few years away yet) 😊 I think I’ve decided that you must never sleep because you get soooo much done! I just love all your projects and am limping along behind you in many of them. Thanks for sharing all the things. Hugs! ❤
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Brenda, can you do a show on your fav tools: scissors, needles, ripper, etc. how did you transition to the 46+ count fabric? I have just done my first sample on even weave and am scared to death. A gift suggestion for your daughters: coffee mugs that say “ I’m not Bossy. I am aggressively helpful”. Does your hubby know he is married to the Taylor Swift of Floss tube? Looking forward to more videos now that you are retired.
I got the same bag! Which weekend were you at?
Hello My name is Moera and i come from France. I like yout work . I cross stich but I am begginer in my chanel. Bye bye
A bit late watching but...already struck by the afghan piece. Who in their right mind would design an afghan -- essentially for cozying up under or taking a nap under or maybe even pic-nicking on -- with *beads* on it?! I'm gob-smacked!
Congrats on your retirement! What a way to celebrate by going to StitchCon. Love your little house montage…haven’t seen anyone else do them that way. The colors just bounce off each other…great job!
Brenda, congratulations on your retirement! That is awesome news. I have to say, your actual stitches are perfection. You do absolutely beautiful work. Thank you for continuing to share your projects with us.
Welcome back and happy retirement!!! More stitching time for u I hope. I really enjoy seeing ur WIPS. Happy stitching🪡❤️
Thank You!!! I hope so too!!!!! :)
Do you stitch with 2 hands or do stab and poke stitching?
Hi Jeanette! I am a one handed stitcher and I do stab and poke stitching :) But I do keep my left hand on the back of my work to help guide my right hand and the needle a little bit.
Your stitching is beautiful. I am so glad I watched your flosstube . I am inspired to get to work and start new pieces. Thank you.
Thank You Jeanette!
Merci beaucoup pour votre vidéo tous vos projets sont magnifiques 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank You Carole!
Congrats on your retirement! I am almost there, too.
Thank You Donna! And so happy for you as well!!
❤❤❤
Thank You Karen!
Congratulations on your retirement. I'm excited that you may be making more videos. Yay!
Thank You!! LOL, I am totally planning on more videos :)
So many incredible projects! Loved seeing all of the catch up projects - you've made some really substantial progress on them. Congratulations again on your retirement!
Thank You!!!
Hi Brenda, I retired too this year. Love your stitching. Quick question... on your fabulous house series, how many rows are you leaving between the houses?
Hi Carol! Congrats to you as well!!!!! I am leaving three empty rows between the houses :)
Congratulations on Retirement! That is fantastic! Just starting to get into cross stitching again after many years. Your work is amazing. No idea how you keep up with all of it!! and how do you remember all the WIPs you have going on! So good! Happy stitching!
Thank You Lara!! So happy you are getting back into cross stitching!! I keep a list of my WIPs in my bullet journal and refer to it often, lol! And I have a magnet board with a small strip magnet for each WIP.
Congratulations on your retirement! Your stitching is so beautiful. Could tell me which green you used on your hobbit door, "The Hobbit" is the reason I bought the house, I loved your color choice.
Thank You Stephanie! I am so glad someone else thinks Bilbo's door should be green! LOL. I used 936 for the darker stripes and 937 for the lighter stripes. And then I used the 936 for part of the gate as well to tie that new color in with the rest of the design.
Do you grid your fabric on the big projects? And do you hand dye your fabric to get the desired effect? Any suggestions on how to dye fabric to look like blue sky and white puffy clouds? And thank you for your videos. I really enjoy them. 😊
Hi Donna! I only grid my fabric on large HAED-type full-coverage designs (with a disappearing marker). But I do always make a working copy of the chart and I use a highlighter to mark what I have stitched so I can keep my place. I have dyed a few pieces of fabric, but I don't know how to make those white puffy clouds on blue, I have wondered how they do that myself :)
I can't believe after all the years I've watched Colette I've only just now found your channel. Happy retirement! Your pieces are amazing. So many I've never seen before.
Hi Jennie! LOL, so glad you found me! I love Colette and her channel, we have been stitching friends for something like 15 years :)
Congratulations on your retirement!!🎉 Are you able to share, in more details, how you stitched the water on Serenity Harbor Sampler? Thank you. 😊
Thank You Mary! I will try and explain it a little better in my next video :) The "gum leaves" Dinky Dyes thread varies quite a bit from light to dark. So I just stitched in kind of wavy strips, crossing each x as I went.
Isn’t retirement grand? I just LOVE it! Congratulations to you and Happy Stitching! 🧵🪡 I always enjoy and appreciate the progress you make on all of your stitching projects. The assortment is so varied that it makes your Flosstubes go by very quickly. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us. Jacque 🐑
Thank You Jacque! And yes, I am already LOVING being retired :)
Congratulations on your retirement! I agree. It's the best!! Love your stitching. So many beautiful projects, beautifully stitched. I also like those Liz Matthew two-fabric house pieces but the putting together of two fabrics feels overwhelming. I'm hoping someone does a tutorial. I also purchased the by the sea patterns by Jeanette Douglas. They are so beautiful but also full of more complex stitching than I expected. I'm going to have to work up to those. Will love to see yours as you get going on them. Happy stitch-y retirement!
Thank You Kathy! Yes, attaching the two pieces of fabric will be a little fussy :) I love Jeanette Douglas! And yes, she is always a challenge for me but I love the effect :)
Congratulations on your retirement!! 🎉 your wide variety of projects is inspiring as always!! Thank you!
Thank You Emily!
❤. Welcome to Retirment Brenda!! It’s a wonderful adventure! I love your retirement start!
Thank You!!
So glad to share time with you this morning while I stitched! Just love seeing what you have been up to...your stitches are always so glorious! Happy retirement! Hope the days and years to come are filled with much happiness and many grand adventures!
Thank You Susan!
Brenda, enjoy your retirement! Love the wide variety of projects in fabric, thread and style. My favorite is the monthly house series. Oh my! It sings to my heart. Celebrate and be grateful for the wonderful gifts God has given you so you can share with us!
Thank You Kathe!! The gift of stitching has been such a blessing in my life :)
Congrats on your retirement. Well deserved 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank You Gloria!
Happy Retirement! 👏🏻 I really enjoyed seeing your WIPS and new starts this morning! It would be hard to choose a favourite as so many are wonderful! But I have always liked the Black Vintage Sampler and the Serenity Harbour. The tiny Seaside Town is really sweet! Have a great Stitchy week ahead! Cheers! 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦🌺
Thank You Marilyn!
WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY RETIREMENT! TIME WILL FLY ENJOU EVERY MINUTE!
Thank You Carol!!!!!
Great to see you and wishing you a very Happy Retirement 🎉 I’ve just finished Sweet Summertime and it was such a fun stitch that I have its companion piece, Watermelon Crawl kitted up. On a side note I also have an Elan stand, which I love, and thanks to one of your videos I’ve recently ordered scroll rods from them. I may have to order the floor stand as they will stop production for it in July as they gear up for retirement and decrease their product line 😢 Happy Stitching!
Thank You Erica! I am loving working on Sweet Summertime!!! So happy to meet someone else who loved it as well. Watermelon Crawl is just as beautiful! So glad you like the Elan stand as well! I am happy they are able to slow down, but sad they are decreasing their product line as well :)
Beautiful projects and progress. It was so nice to see you at Stitch Con, Brenda. My sister in law and I just love you. We now have four years of pictures with you 💕 Enjoy your retirement! ❤️🌺💕🌷
Thank You Kimberly!!! I am so glad we have been able to meet for four years now!!!

Congratulations on your retirement, the blanket is going to be beautiful.
Thank You Vi!!
Hi Brenda I loved seeing your WIP's and finishes. May was a busy month for me because I went to Indiana to see my granddaughter graduate from High school. In her class that graduated was 1360.00 students. It was 3 1/2 hours. Whew!!! She will be going to Ball University in Indiana in Art. So I have been behind in floss tube and trying to get caught up. When I got back I have been working on my 33 new starts this year and added 4 more May new starts that I do with Dena of Half cross stitch and will be working with her in July new starts only on Christmas stitching and I have about 11 projects kitted up. So I will have about a total of 47 to 50 projects this year. I have never done that many in a year so this is my first actual WIP's but I am loving it so much. I am happy you enjoyed Con stitch and love the patterns and the trinkets. I always look forward to seeing you and when I do complete some of them I will send you a picture of my progress. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Hi Pat! Wow, that is a lot of WIPs! But it sounds so fun!!!!!!! Congrats to your granddaughter!
